O.T.'s son Tom Marshall, studied architecture under Pale Soleri, noted Italian architect at the Arcosanti Project. Its "arcology" concept was designed to demonstrate how urban conditions could be improved while minimizing the destructive impact on the earth. Tom Marshall received a Bachelor of Architecture at the University of Tennessee and studied at the University of East Anglia in the United Kingdom. He interned under Edward Durell Stone in New York City where he participated in the design of several noted high-rise projects. He received his Master of Architecture at the University of Illinois in Chicago under the direction of Stanley Tigerman. Upon graduation, Tom joined his father's firm where he remains today.
Tom received the prestigous American Institute of Architects Chicago Award for his work on the La Biennale di Venzia entry for the Ca Venia de Leone in Venice.
O.T. Marshall Architects has since provided design services for many of the community's significant structures.
